A 59-year-old Enosburg man was taken to Northwestern Medical Center with a head injury after an SUV struck him on Main Street, Vermont State Police said.
ENOSBURG, Vt. — A 59-year-old man was hit by a turning SUV on Main Street in Enosburg on Thursday afternoon and was taken to a hospital with a head injury, Vermont State Police said.
Police said they were called at about 3:16 p.m. to Main Street near School Street, where a 2017 Subaru Forester driven by Haleigh Terry, 19, of Enosburg, had struck James Robinson, 59, also of Enosburg.
According to troopers from the St. Albans barracks, an initial investigation found that Robinson stepped into the road as the Forester was making a turn. The Enosburg Ambulance took Robinson to Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans for treatment of a head injury. Police did not describe the severity of his injury.
Police said neither impairment nor speed appeared to be a factor. Terry was wearing a seat belt, and the SUV had minor front-end damage, according to police. The weather was clear and the road was dry at the time.
Police asked anyone who saw the crash to call the St. Albans barracks at 802-524-5993.
