Two men plead guilty in armed robbery of Londonderry business
Prosecutors said Nasaiah Johnson and Xiao Yu were part of a six-person group that traveled from New York, threatened an employee with what appeared to be a gun and loaded stolen goods into a rented box truck.
CONCORD, N.H. — Two men pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court in Concord to conspiring to rob a business in Londonderry, New Hampshire, the U.S. attorney's office for New Hampshire said.
Nasaiah Johnson, 25, of Baltimore, Maryland, and Xiao Yu, 28, who had been living in New Jersey, each pleaded guilty to conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery before U.S. District Judge Steven McAuliffe, prosecutors said.
According to court documents and statements made in court, Johnson and Yu traveled from New York to New England with four other people to rob a business. Yu rented a box truck from a rental agency in Medford, Massachusetts, and bought supplies at a hardware store there, prosecutors said.
The group then went to the Londonderry business, where five of them, including Johnson, went inside, threatened an employee with what appeared to be a gun and tied up the worker, prosecutors said. They took merchandise and loaded it into the box truck, which Yu was driving.
Yu left in the truck, and the others drove off in a sedan and returned to New York, according to prosecutors.
The charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Johnson is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 16, 2027, and Yu on Feb. 23, 2027.
The FBI led the investigation.
