Detectives with the Springfield Police Firearms Investigation Unit had been investigating cocaine sales from the apartment for several months and identified Joshua Colon, Frederick Lyons and Desray King as suspects, police said. Officers searched the apartment shortly before 2 p.m. Sept. 17 under a warrant, according to the department.
Police said detectives recovered about 66.7 grams of cocaine, liquid gabapentin and 21 gabapentin pills, 27 oxycodone pills and $4,129 in cash. Six other people inside the apartment were briefly detained and released, the department said.
Colon, 23, Lyons, 48, and King, 31, all of Springfield, are each charged with cocaine trafficking, possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, possession with intent to distribute a Class E drug and conspiracy to violate drug law, police said.
