Troopers from the state police barracks in St. Johnsbury led the search, joined by the Bradford Police Department, the Caledonia County Sheriff's Office, Newbury EMS and the Vermont Army National Guard, police said.

Newbury is in Orange County, in eastern Vermont near the New Hampshire line.
