Two hurt-free drivers collide at Enosburg intersection, Vermont State Police say

Troopers said a pickup pulled out from a stop sign on Nichols Road and hit an SUV on Boston Post Road in Enosburg on Tuesday morning. One driver was reported to have minor injuries.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Boston Post Road and Nichols Road in Enosburg, Vt., on Tuesday morning, the Vermont State Police said.

Troopers from the state police barracks in St. Albans were called to the intersection at about 8:47 a.m. after a report of a two-car crash, according to the agency. Enosburg fire and ambulance crews also responded.

Police said John Carr, 68, of Barnstead, N.H., was stopped at a stop sign on Nichols Road in a 2019 Nissan Frontier pickup and pulled into the intersection while Carol Willey, 70, of East Fairfield, Vt., was driving north on Boston Post Road in a 2024 Ford Escape. Neither driver was able to stop before the vehicles hit, troopers said.

Willey was reported to have suspected minor injuries, according to the state police. Neither driver was taken to a hospital. Both were checked by ambulance crews at the scene, and both had been wearing seat belts, police said.

Both vehicles were damaged in the front end and were towed away. The road was closed briefly while troopers investigated and the vehicles were cleared, police said. The weather was clear and the road was dry.

The state police did not report any charges or tickets.
