Boston police arrest Hyde Park man, 66, on 18 outstanding warrants
Kevin Davis was arrested downtown on warrants from Quincy, Braintree, Cambridge, Malden and campus police departments, Boston police said, and is also wanted in Rhode Island.
Boston police arrested a 66-year-old Hyde Park man on 18 outstanding arrest warrants after spotting him downtown, the department said Wednesday.
Officers assigned to the department's downtown district arrested Kevin Davis at about 10 a.m. on Sept. 4 at the intersection of Washington and Winter streets, police said.
Davis was arrested in connection with two separate break-ins and commercial burglaries, one near Arch Street and the other near Neponset Avenue, according to police. Officers found several credit cards and identification cards that did not belong to him, including an identification card from a local university, the department said.
Police said Davis had 18 active warrants from local jurisdictions, including Quincy, Braintree, Cambridge and Malden, as well as the MIT and Northeastern University police departments. The warrants include charges of breaking and entering, larceny from a building, credit card fraud, trespassing and several domestic violence offenses, police said.
Davis was expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court. Police said he will also be sent to Rhode Island, where he is wanted on a third-offense domestic violence charge.
The charges are allegations. Davis is presumed innocent unless and until he is convicted.
