Troopers were called shortly before 7 p.m. Sept. 14 to a crash on Route 7 near Lime Kiln Road, according to the state police. Police said Prim was not wearing a seat belt and that both passengers were. The weather and the road were clear, according to the release, and the car was totaled.

Route 7 was closed at the crash site for about three hours while troopers worked the scene.

Troopers are still trying to determine what caused the crash, and asked anyone who saw it to call the New Haven barracks.
