Driver hurt when pickup overturns on Fairfield Road in Fletcher, Vt.

Vermont State Police said a Jeffersonville woman was taken to a hospital with minor injuries after her Toyota Tacoma left the road and rolled onto its side in Fletcher on Aug. 30.

A 42-year-old Jeffersonville, Vt., woman was hurt when the pickup she was driving left Fairfield Road in the town of Fletcher and overturned, the Vermont State Police said.

Troopers from the state police barracks in St. Albans were called to the crash on Fairfield Road, near Spaulding Road, at about 5:24 p.m. on Aug. 30, according to the agency.

Police said Kara Gomez was driving a 2025 Toyota Tacoma when it went off the left side of the road and rolled onto its passenger side. The truck was totaled, according to the release.

Gomez, who was wearing a seat belt, was driven to Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, where she was checked for what police described as minor injuries.

The weather was clear and the pavement was dry at the time, state police said. Fairfax Rescue and the Fairfax Fire Department helped at the scene.
