Waitsfield man arrested on warrant, accused of violating release conditions

Vermont State Police said Kyle Farnham, 28, was found at a Waitsfield home during an investigation and was held for lack of $1,200 bail.

A Waitsfield man was arrested Saturday on an outstanding warrant and is accused of violating court-ordered conditions of release, Vermont State Police said.

Troopers from the state police barracks in Berlin went to a home in Waitsfield as part of an investigation, according to police, who did not describe what that investigation involved. While there, troopers identified Kyle Farnham, 28, of Waitsfield, police said.

Police said troopers determined that Farnham was violating his conditions of release and that there was a warrant out for his arrest. The release does not say what the warrant was for or what case the release conditions stem from.

Farnham was arrested and taken to the Berlin barracks to be processed, police said. He was issued a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court's criminal division on Oct. 19 to answer the charge of violating his conditions of release.

Unable to post $1,200 bail, Farnham was taken to the Northeast Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury, according to state police.

The charge is an allegation, and Farnham is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
